Fashion Food Friday
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYBODY!
Does anybody have any fun weekend plans? Mine will be spent celebrating mine and John's two year anniversary! Didn't we just start dating yesterday? No? Okay.
Anyways, lets jump into this post! Fashion has always been something I enjoyed. When I was in Junior High my dream job was to be a fashion designer, just like Lauren Conrad (LOL). Instead of turning it into a career it's definitely something that has always been a fun hobby of mine. Over the years I have changed my style several times, and that's what I love so much about it! It's always changing, and doesn't have to be taken too seriously!
Lately one of my favorite trends has been tennis shoes & jeans. If you would have told me two years ago to wear this, I would have looked at you like you were CRAZY. But like I said, styles change! I typically wear my black tennis shoes & black ripped jeans, but I wanted to mix it up this weekend! I went with black/grey shoes, green jeans, a black/white stripped shirt & I loved it!
I love these textures together so much! Definitely trying to step out of my comfort zone!
Whenever I dress more "sporty", I like to curl my hair and do makeup to really tie the whole look together!
This Tarte Lip Paint has become one of my new favorites, the formula is AMAZING!
I definitely want to keep putting more looks together like this. It was so comfortable, yet stylish, to run around town in all day!
Now onto the food! I recently started following a chef on Instagram who makes the yummiest looking healthy food & I decided to give one of her recipes a try. These are Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies, and oh my goodness they are DELICIOUS. Me and John have made them three times now, and they are certainly approved around here.
Ingredients:
1. 1 Large Egg
2. 1/2 Cup Coconut Sugar (Sub brown sugar or sugar in the raw)
3. 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
4. 2 Tbsp. Coconut Oil (Sub softened butter)
5. 3/4 Cup Organic Peanut Butter
Preheat the oven to: 350
Cook time: I start with 10 minutes and then check to see if the center is cooked. If it's not I usually put them in for 3 minute increments until they are done. You don't want to over cook the cookies, because they will continue to cook in the pan when you take them out.
All you do is mix the ingredients together in a big mixing bowl, and what I like to do is put the batter in muffin tins. I found with the organic peanut butter that the batter can become a little runny. When you put them in the muffin tin it keeps the batter together, and they cook perfectly!
I mean come on! These are incredible, and for a cookie the ingredients aren't half bad!
I may or may not be eating one while typing this.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend! :)
XO
