Hello 24 & New Job
Hello Everybody & Welcome Back!
As I'm sure you can tell by now I recently just celebrated my Twenty-Fourth Birthday, and the start of a NEW JOB!
My birthday was on a Friday, which also happened to be my last day as an account manager. I celebrated by taking the day off, and relaxing. It was amazing to just have some time to myself to do pretty much nothing. Slept in *until 7*, worked out, got my nails done, ugh it was amazing!
I went with this light purple color for Spring/Easter.. obsessed
After my relaxing day John got home and took me out to dinner. My favorite foods to eat is Sushi, so he picked a place that we have never been to. Overall it was such a good meal, and an even better time.
This is one of the gifts that John got me. I LOVE Alex & Ani, and the fact that it's from him made it that much better. He also got me shoes, but those will be coming in a later blog post ;)
My sister got me this bracelet for my birthday, but also for my new job. It was so thoughtful, I love it. These Mantra Bands make great gifts for any occasion!
This is the sushi restaurant we went to! It is located in Lincoln Park
They had such a romantic atmosphere! It was perfect
So delicious!
After dinner we went to one of our favorite bars for drinks, then headed home because it was down pouring. I guess it should be expected for an April Birthday.
Since my Birthday fell on Easter weekend I thought it would be best to celebrate with friends by doing a brunch on Saturday! We went to Barcocina, and if you have not been for brunch.. GO. It was AMAZING.
Also somehow over night it went from Spring to Summer.. oh Chicago you keep things interesting. I wasn't complaining about the sunshine one bit though.
Bottomless brunch expectation..
..vs. bottomless brunch reality LOL
This prickly pear mimosa was amazing. Better than the regular mimosa, and that is saying a lot.
Somehow this is the only group photo we got, and this was after Steph, Christine, and Lindsey left. THANK YOU ALL FOR CELEBRATING WITH ME.
There are so many people who made my birthday so special, whether they were there in person, or spirit, I could feel all the love. I can't wait to see what this year will hold, but so far it's starting out with a new job!
For those of you who don't know, I have worked at CDW in sales as a Nonprofit Account Manager for two years. My goal as an Account Manager was always to move over to the partner side of the business, so I am extremely excited that it is finally happening! I have officially begun my new job as an Apple Solution Specialist! Basically what that means is I work with Apple & CDW to help Account Managers with questions, deals, trainings, and events! It's a bittersweet feeling moving roles, because I will miss my Nonprofit coworkers, but I am so excited for this next step in my career!
I know this was a long post, but you guys made it! Thank you all for reading. :)
XO
