Move-in Update

Hello Everybody & Happy Sunday! :)

Sunday is always my favorite day of the week. It is usually filled with family, shopping, and lots of relaxing (until the Sunday scaries start to hit).

I feel like it has been so long since I've posted *only a few weeks* but I miss it okay! These past few weeks have been so crazy busy with moving into a new apartment. If you didn't know this about me, I have a lotttttt of things, and downsizing from a two bedroom place, to a one bedroom place AND sharing a closet... well lets just say I've been purging for weeks.

Our new apartment is almost finished, and I cannot wait to FINALLY share some pictures with you guys. The only hold up is that I ordered a bar cart, which I have been wanting for SO LONG, and of course they forgot the screws and wheels. Hashtag blessed. So now there's random decorations everywhere, an unassembled bar cart in our living room, and a dresser holding up the TV where the cart is going. Ay ay ay. Target really dropped the ball on this one.

ANYWAYS, in the meantime we have been exploring some new neighborhood spots, and our favorite place so far is definitely the bagel shop that is one block away, called Beans and Bagels. Equal parts amazing, and dangerous.

My go to is the scrambled egg, turkey sausage, and cheddar cheese on an everything bagel.

I mean come on..

We have also been making a lot of food at home together, which for me is always fun, and I love trying new things! This salad is probably one of my favorite things that we have made.

It is the homemade version of my favorite salad from Specialties, which if you follow me on Instagram & watch my stories, you know I eat this once a week.

Recipe:

1. Romaine lettuce chopped up

2. Bacon bits

3. Bleu cheese

4. Hard boiled eggs

5. Avocado

6. Chicken

7. Red onion

8. An optional yet recommended side of bread from a bakery

9. Also optional Everything but the Bagel seasoning from Trader Joes. (Highly recommend this)

10. Ranch dressing. We used the yogurt ranch, so it was a liiiiitle bit healthier.

Also did anybody do anything fun for Cinco De Mayo? Instead of dealing with busy restaurants we all went to my friend Steph's, and had chips + several dips, and made tacos, rice, and beans. It was so fun to all hang out & have drinks together at home instead of going out to eat. 10/10 doing this again.

Hope you all had a great weekend! :)

XO

-Kayla
