NYC
Spotted!
Kayla finally made her way to NYC! Will she love it? Only time will tell!
XOXO Gossip Girl
Okay in all seriousness, SOMEHOW this was my first time to NYC, and I feel like that's really surprising because I love big cities. Before I even got there I knew I'd love it, because that's who I am, and once I was there it confirmed everything I thought! I had the entire day to explore the city, and I got to do SO much! There are a ton of pictures, so bare with me.
We stayed right next to Grand Central Station.. Serena Van Der Woodsen where are you?
I started Wednesday out by getting coffee, a bagel (it's NYC & bagels are my fav food), and headed to Central Park to eat my breakfast!
Sitting in Central Park was easily one of my favorite things I did.. I mean come on
Bagel place close to Central Park (I know there are probably better spots, but I wanted walking distance to the park)
After the Park I went and sat on the Met Steps, because as you probably know by now, I am obsessed with Gossip Girl.
I am Blair Waldorf
After the Met Steps I headed to the Empire State Building
Where's Ted Mosby
View from the top, the sun made it really hard to get a good shot
After the Empire State building I was so warm I had to get a smoothie bowl, it was amazing
Then I headed to Madison Square Park, this was another favorite of mine.
Cutest Shake Shack ever in the middle of the park
Flat Iron Building
Then I went and got ice cream from Big Gay Ice Cream.. this is a MUST. Get the salty pimp, don't argue with me.
Then I headed to Washington Square Park. This is a must as well! .
I've seen the Arc's in Spain, Paris, and now NYC.
Also ran into Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine filming.. hey guys! Can't wait to see this in a movie in the next year.
Then I headed over to the 9/11 Memorial. As you can imagine, it's extremely emotional, and hard to digest the hundreds of name displayed. Heartbreaking doesn't even do it justice.
View from the One World Observatory
Then I walked over to the Oculus
After that I headed over to Brooklyn, another favorite of mine! It is so adorable.
Juliana's is a must!
Brooklyn Bridge
That pretty much wraps up my trip to New York! If you are visiting, what I did was started North at Central Park, and then worked my way South. I thought it was such an easy way to navigate the city! Don't let the idea of it being too big keep you away, I did all of this in under 8 hours, by myself, never felt unsafe, didn't run into any rude people, and didn't think it was too dirty. The second I left I was already planning my next trip!
Thanks for reading!
XOXO
